Manchester SEO? Get involved – Tell us your news

in Announcements

This site was originally developed to accompany the Manchester SEO nights which are organised on a monthly basis – however I for one would like to see this become one for the community, and I think a good start for that is to open up it to the wider Manchester SEO community. Further to this I am extending a opportunity to the local SEO community for content which could include:

  • Announcements – Local events such as Manchester SEO, Sascon, Social Media Manchester or Barcamp
  • Press Releases – If you have won some good business – let us know !!!! Lets be vocal about what we are doing (and winning) in Manchester
  • General News – Hires and Fires (preferably more of the first please :)

Further news will follow over the coming days however I look forward to hearing from you

Peter

Sounds like a good idea. The group isnt too crass at all, so hopefully it wont be just a series of account win releases. But if anyone starts rattling on about “SEO Servers”……

Agreed – I guess a degree of moderation needs to be there – for those exact circumstances. Whilst the Manchester SEO lot can be trusted – its the wider SEO exploitation I would be wary of

Well, SEO Manchester, I’m not SEO Manchester sure of SEO Manchester what you SEO Manchester mean by ‘SEO [Manchester] exploitation’?

It’s a great idea – but yeah, you probably need a couple of moderators, a set of guidelines governing what you will post (and how many and what kind of links you can drop into announcements) and a place to submit news/press releases.

Anything we can do to help, let me know.

Could I boast about my second place in the Mancseo World Cup Fantasy Football? ;)

@Mindy Your content is probably a good place to start – Would be good to hear about any good wins from our local agencies as things really appear to be on the up

As regards the second place Rhys – if you had come first…..

My content?

Hey, you want to start with an announcement, how about spreading the word that I’m running a discussion group about promoting porn on social media sites at #smc_mcr tomorrow at the Cornerhouse. It would be great if people could come down and offer their opinions.

There’s more info here: http://socialmediamanchester.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-internet-is-made-of-porn
